A Bold New Vision for Southeast Michigan

Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano has proposed creating a tax-free zone at Cobo. Consumers would receive a 6-percent sales tax break on all purchases, saving hundreds of dollars on new automobiles, boats, electronics and other products. Cobo would benefit from a competitive advantage in attracting conventions and out-of-state consumers. More business means more jobs!
